Glassblowing (Paperweight or flower)

Make your own paperweight or flower with the help of your instructor and teammates!
Included in the session is a safety overview, tour of the shop and an instructor demonstration of a colorful paperweight. Each team will need to decide on the same item to make.
Glassblowing (Cup, or Ornament)

Fused Glass
6 - 40 participants
$135/person | $95/person for groups larger than 25 | 3 hour session
Our instructor will demonstrate the process of cutting, shaping and assembling sheet glass to create a unique and colorful mural. Each participant will receive one square to decorate that can be fused into a large team mural or an individual project (examples include a coaster, a self portrait, jewelry or abstract). The entire team would need to choose a team mural or individual projects.
The fusing is heated in a kiln and cooled down to room temperature over a 24 hour cycle.
Included in the session is a safety overview and tour of the shop.
Stained Glass
6 - 10 participants
$150/person | 3 hour session
Create your own stained glass window piece! Choose between a square pattern, honeycomb pattern, or hanging mobile. Glass will be pre formed for you so you can design what colors, shapes, and spacing you would like. Please indicate which you would like to do beforehand so we can prepare for you. Additional customized designs available with prior arrangement.
Included in the session is a safety overview and tour of the shop.
Glassblowing + Fusing Combo
10 - 24 participants
$275-$315/person | 4 hour session
This is an action-packed event, so even though it’s a bit longer than the others, 4 hours, the time will fly by! We will split your group into two halves. Half of your group will go to the warm shop to make a mural or individual pieces while half will go to the hotshop to make paperweights. At the 2 hour mark we will switch the groups so everyone will get to make 2 items total and get to try out hot furnace glass as well as working with sheet glass.

Glassblowing + Stained Glass Combo
10 - 24 participants
$290-$340/person | 4 hour session
In this 4 hour action-packed event, your group will get to experience both the hot furnace glass and stained glass! We will split your group into two groups. Half of your group will go to the warm shop to make a stained glass piece while half will go to the hotshop to make paperweights/ cups. At the 2 hour mark we will switch the groups so everyone will get to make 2 items total.
Private Demonstration Party
20 - 200 participants
$90/person | $75/person for groups larger than 100 | 3 hour session
Three artists will work together in a live glass blowing demonstration for your group, creating a range of objects and explaining the process throughout. Participants are encouraged to make requests and interact with our team, ask questions and engage with the artists. This is an amazing opportunity to experience a wide range of glass techniques and have an open dialogue with professional artists. You will get to take home the objects that are made. Food You're welcome to bring refreshments. If doing so, we ask you provide your group with plates, etc. and help with cleanup. We can coordinate catering for a $100 fee + the cost of the caterer. We allow consumption of alcohol on the premises. Booking The event will not be booked in our calendar until the invoice has been paid. If the event takes place within 10 days of the time you book, we must charge a $250 last minute booking fee as well to cover the extra admin and the necessary calendar shuffling our contracted teachers must do in order to fit the workshop into their schedule.​ The information about cancellations and rescheduling will be at the bottom of the invoice.
For all team events:
All participants need to sign our online waiver. We require that all participants have been vaccinated or take a rapid COVID test up within an hour of the event. Masks are encouraged. Thank you.

Catering:
You're welcome to bring refreshments, we ask you to provide your group with plates and amenities and help with cleanup. We can coordinate catering for a $100 fee + the cost of the caterer. Beer and Wine can also be coordinated for your event for an additional $100 fee + the cost of beverages. While we allow consumption of alcohol on the premises, no individual may consume alcohol before or during a hands-on portion of our workshops.

Hand Crafted Drinking Cups:
Our famous Hot Glass Cold Beer drinking cups can be purchased as an added gift for your team members to take home as a souvenir from your team building event. Glasses are available for $25/glass.
Cancellation Policy: No credit or refund can be issued if a cancellation occurs 9 days or less before your class date. This helps us guarantee stable wages for our hard-working artist instructors. If a cancellation occurs 10 days or more before the start of class, please submit a written request to operations@publicglass.org as soon as you know of a possible conflict. Your account will be credited with the cost of the class. You can apply this credit to a future class, our online shop, or event. Please email operations@publicglass.org to use the credit on your account. Excessive rescheduling will result in an administrative fee. ​ Online class registration closes 2 days before the first session. For late registration, questions or guidance on our programs, please email us at: info@publicglass.org. As a small nonprofit, our goal is to keep access to the studios affordable and to employ the independent artists who have committed to teach you. Monetary refunds are issued at the discretion of management. In the rare case that we are able to issue a refund, our processing platforms will keep a minimum of 10% non-refundable fees. Keeping the credit on your account is highly encouraged. It ensures that you get to keep 100% of your credit while supporting our artists and community. Thank you for your support and understanding.
