Our Stained Glass shop has 6 total work tables, 5 glass grinders and an exhaust hood to safely solder underneath. We rent to nonmembers and members.

Nonmembers will pay a $15 day rate to use work tables, tools and grinders as well as pay for the soldering iron at $15 per hour. Nonmembers rental times are limited to staff working hours, M-TH.

Memberships include unlimited access to work space, tools and grinders and can book anytime during operating hours: mon-sun  8am-9:30pm through the online portal. Members will book a warmshop table for free to reserve space to work. Members also rent the soldering iron for $15 per hour + membership discount through the online portal.

​​Stained Glass day rental/  Stained Glass Membership includes:

• Flat-glass cutting / layout table

• 2 light boxes

• exhaust hood

• homasite/ wood boards

• cutting tools- pistol grip toyo cutters, grozer pliers, running pliers, cutting oil

• waffle boards

• Hakko soldering irons ( 10 total) with temp control for rent underneath exhaust hood for $15 per hour

• 5 all star grinders- one 80 grit, two 100 grit and two 220 grit, and one 1/4 in grinding head

• 1 - 220 grit flat disc grinder

• 1 - taurus ring saw

• copper foil

• flux

• patina

Members vs Nonmembers

Studio memberships are available and provide discounted hourly rates, online booking access, and no limits on rental times. Memberships include unlimited access to work space, tools and grinders. Members will book a warmshop table for free to reserve space to work. Members also rent the soldering iron for $15 per hour + membership discount through the online portal. 

In order to be a rent, renters must be able to use all of the equipment on their own without staff present. Equipment includes: Glass cutting tools, glass grinders, and soldering iron

 

Choose between:

Basic membership to get 10% off or a premium membership to get 20% off

Monthly and yearly memberships available.

 

​​​​Booking Policies:

Stained glass members are able to book the warmshop table and soldering irons 5 minutes before rental and all cancellations and rescheduling must be done 48 hours in advance.

 

Nonmembers pay per day rate rental of $15 and/ or hourly soldering iron of $15. Nonmembers must email and pay invoice a minimum of 3 days hours ahead of time through email: operations@publicglass.org. Nonmembers are limited to booking while staff is present M-TH

 

First time nonmembers please email:

• What equipment/tools you would like to use in your rental

Nonmember booking process:

* operations available Mon-Thurs, any rental requests Fri-Sun will be processed the following Monday

1. Email info above and/or requested days and times 

2. If available operations will send you the invoice to pay

3. After the invoice is paid, you will be booked into the calendar (must happen at least 3 days ahead of rental) 

4. Nonmembers can show up 15 minutes before rental time to set up

5.  On the day of meet a staff member in the gallery and they will walk you over to the stained glass shop to show you the location of tools and equipment

6. Nonmembers are in charge of setting up their own station and putting back anything tools and equipment used. All grinders must be emptied of silica dust and grinder table wiped down. At the end of the rental, nonmembers are in charge of sweeping up the entire station of glass shards.
