Service Description
Take the stress out of using the pineapple mold in this 2 week class. This class will cover the proper set up to go into the pineapple mold, what pipes to use, how to not get stuck in the mold , and how to maintain the pattern without melting it out. We will be using both 16 and 20 point molds which will change the look of the pattern as well getting practice in a 4in cup mold and the larger 6in mold. This class will also cover what to do if you get stuck within the pineapple mold and how to safely clean up the mold if you do. First class will be in clear with an emphasis on technique and maintaining the pattern on the pipe and punty side. The second class will be applying frit and how that effects going into the mold and how to use the pineapple mold to trap bubbles in a pattern. This class will be 3 students per bench and max out at 2 benches. * a 16 point 4in pineapple mold will be available after this class for anyone to use This is a 2 week class: Saturdays Aug 2 & 9 6.5 hours per class: 12:30-7pm

This helps us guarantee stable wages for our hard-working artist instructors. If a cancellation occurs 10 days or more before the start of class, please submit a written request to operations@publicglass.org as soon as you know of a possible conflict. Your account will be credited with the cost of the class. You can apply this credit to a future class, our online shop, or event. Please email operations@publicglass.org to use the credit on your account. Excessive rescheduling will result in an administrative fee. ​ Online class registration closes 2 days before the first session. As a small nonprofit, our goal is to keep access to the studios affordable and to employ the independent artists who have committed to teach you. Monetary refunds are issued at the discretion of management. In the rare case that we are able to issue a refund, our processing platforms will keep a minimum of 10% non-refundable fees. Keeping the credit on your account is highly encouraged. It ensures that you get to keep 100% of your credit while supporting our artists and community. Thank you for your support and understanding.
