Service Description

Learn the basics of hot glass in this closely supervised, team-driven five week course, studying the effects of heating, cooling and gravity. Students will learn the basic techniques involved in making solid and blown glass. This course is designed to teach students to be able to do every single step of the process on their own with instructor support. Students will be introduced to studio safety, hand tools, equipment and hot working. The class covers body posture, gathering, shaping and tool and material usage. Each session will build upon techniques of solid working and the generation of small vessels such as a drinking glass. Please wear closed toed shoes and comfortable clothes. A water bottle is recommended. Interested in renting on your own? Take levels 1-4 and be able to rent your own hot shop slot!

Cancellation Policy

For help with your booking please contact Cancellation Policy: No credit or refund can be issued if a cancellation occurs 9 days or less before your class date. This helps us guarantee stable wages for our hard-working artist instructors. If a cancellation occurs 10 days or more before the start of class, please submit a written request to as soon as you know of a possible conflict. Your account will be credited with the cost of the class. You can apply this credit to a future class, our online shop, or event. Please email to use the credit on your account. Excessive rescheduling will result in an administrative fee. ​ Online class registration closes 2 days before the first session. Monetary refunds are issued at the discretion of management. In the rare case that we are able to issue a refund, our processing platforms will keep a minimum of 10% non-refundable fees.
