Service Description

This class includes instruction from 12pm - 4pm each session, with incorporated practice time until 7pm. In this two session 'mini' masterclass, you will learn Maria's method for how she creates her signature 'Gems' rock glasses and 'Gelatin' bowls. The class will cover techniques involved in the full glassblowing process of making her thick-bottomed vessels. The class will also cover Maria's favorite subject, color, with overview of various color application she uses in her work, including veil murrine. The focus of the class is on fun use of color with an emphasis on refining technique to create simple yet visually clean forms. Prerequisites: able to make a simple rocks glass to spec, experience with pulling cane or murrine, and recommended experience doing a stuffed cup. Please inquire if you have any questions on past experience recommended to get the most out of the class.

Cancellation Policy

For help with your booking contact Cancellation Policy: No credit or refund can be issued if a cancellation occurs 9 days or less before your class date. This helps us guarantee stable wages for our hard-working artist instructors. If a cancellation occurs 10 days or more before the start of class, please submit a written request to as soon as you know of a possible conflict. Your account will be credited with the cost of the class. You can apply this credit to a future class, our online shop, or event. Please email to use the credit on your account. Monetary refunds are issued at the discretion of management. In the rare case that we are able to issue a refund, our processing platforms will keep a minimum of 10% non-refundable fees.
