Coldworking Private Lesson

Service Description
1-2 people $250 3-4 people $400 Book your own private coldworking class. Coldworking glass involves using diamond plated equipment to grind the glass down. The cold shop has a lap wheel to grind objects flat, a belt sandier to work on rounded shapes, a foredom flex shaft with foot pedal to hand carve images into glass, a lathe with multiple diamond wheels for glass engraving and carving as well as a sandblaster to blast designs onto to glass surface. Choose your own date and time. We are open Mon- Sun for coldworking. There are not any set times for the cold shop. Choose your 3 hour lesson start anytime after 9am and end before 9:30pm. Participants with no experience can choose between - sandblasting designs, drawing with the foredom , glass carving/etching or flattening a piece that doesn't sit flat Private lessons are also good for those with a particular project that are not offered in regular classes. Students with previous coldworking experience can also book a private lesson to advance your skill set and get repeated practice. If you have taken a class with us before and would like to request a certain instructor that you have had before please let us know.
Cancellation Policy
For help with your booking please contact info@publicglass.org Cancellation Policy: No credit or refund can be issued if a cancellation occurs 9 days or less before your class date. This helps us guarantee stable wages for our hard-working artist instructors. If a cancellation occurs 10 days or more before the start of class, please submit a written request to operations@publicglass.org as soon as you know of a possible conflict. Your account will be credited with the cost of the class. You can apply this credit to a future class, our online shop, or event. Please email operations@publicglass.org to use the credit on your account. Excessive rescheduling will result in an administrative fee. ​ Online class registration closes 2 days before the first session. For late registration, questions or guidance on our programs, please email us at: info@publicglass.org. As a small nonprofit, our goal is to keep access to the studios affordable and to employ the independent artists who have committed to teach you. Monetary refunds are issued at the discretion of management. In the rare case that we are able to issue a refund, our processing platforms will keep a minimum of 10% non-refundable fees. Keeping the credit on your account is highly encouraged. It ensures that you get to keep 100% of your credit while supporting our artists and community. Thank you for your support and understanding.
