ArtSpan's 50th Annual San Francisco Open Studios: Celebrating 50 Years of Creativity

Public Glass is excited to participate in ArtSpan’s SF Open Studios Week 3, part of the 50th annual citywide program connecting San Francisco artists with the community. Since 1975, ArtSpan's SF Open Studios has been a celebration of the Bay Area's vibrant arts scene, inviting the public to explore artists' creative spaces and purchase works directly from the source.

Join us on October 5-6, 2024 11 AM - 6 PM at Public Glass, where you can experience live glassblowing, meet local artists, and explore our studio in the heart of the Bayview neighborhood.

SF Open Studios is FREE to attend!

Sept. 20 - Oct. 13 @ SOMArts Cultural Center Artist-hosted open studio events are accompanied by the expansive SFOS Exhibition that provides a snapshot of the hundreds of artists who are welcoming the public to their studios, and plan your visits. Immerse yourself in the creativity of the city and purchase pieces knowing your patronage directly supports the region’s art ecosystem. SOMArts Gallery Hours: Thursdays 3-7PM Fridays 12-7PM Saturdays & Sundays 12-5PM

Sept. 21 - Oct. 13 | Sat. & Sun. 11AM-5PM Directly connect with the hundreds of local artists responsible for the unique creative culture and vibrancy our region is known for. Artist studios are organized into geographic quadrants open to the public during specific weekends from 11am to 5pm.

Oct. 2 | 6-8PM @ SOMArts Cultural Center Prominent Bay Area arts & culture luminaries each award ArtSpan’s AMPLIFY: Juror's Choice Awards to one exhibited artwork. Through these recognitions, jurors amplify the reach of artists distinguished for the visual impact of their submitted work. Jurors and artists speak about the work during Art Tasting, a collector event. This is a ticketed event. ArtSpan ArtLover members receive complimentary admission as a benefit of their membership. Studio Rental Hours

Monday Closed

Tuesday - Friday

8am to 9:30pm

Saturday - Sunday

9am to 10:30pm

Cancellation Policy: No credit or refund can be issued if a cancellation occurs 9 days or less before your class date. This helps us guarantee stable wages for our hard-working artist instructors. If a cancellation occurs 10 days or more before the start of class, please submit a written request to operations@publicglass.org as soon as you know of a possible conflict. Your account will be credited with the cost of the class. You can apply this credit to a future class, our online shop, or event. Please email operations@publicglass.org to use the credit on your account. Excessive rescheduling will result in an administrative fee.  ​ Online class registration closes 2 days before the first session. For late registration, questions or guidance on our programs, please email us at: info@publicglass.org.  As a small nonprofit, our goal is to keep access to the studios affordable and to employ the independent artists who have committed to teach you. Monetary refunds are issued at the discretion of management. In the rare case that we are able to issue a refund, our processing platforms will keep a minimum of 10% non-refundable fees. Keeping the credit on your account is highly encouraged. It ensures that you get to keep 100% of your credit while supporting our artists and community.  Thank you for your support and understanding.
