Service Description

Dates: 2 weeks, tues/thurs : 7/16, 7/18, 7/23, 7/25 Glass culture has historically lacked diversity, often feeling exclusive. At Public Glass, we're reshaping this narrative with our inclusive glassblowing classes, welcoming LGBTQIA+ individuals. Our aim? To foster community, skill development, and learning in a supportive, safe environment. We're breaking barriers to create collaborative learning experiences, where participants can embrace their identities, learn about flameworking, and forge friendships. Led by LGBTQIA+ instructors, this class requires no prior experience and will teach all the same content as our Level 1 class. Delve deeper into the art of flameworking with molten borosilicate glass. This comprehensive 2-week session introduces beginners to flameworking, with each three-hour class focusing on foundational techniques. Students will craft marbles, pendants, and small sculptures, while also learning about studio safety and gaining independent access through memberships. Join us as we explore the transformative power of glass in a welcoming and inclusive space.
