Service Description

Students will build on their knowledge of mold making as they explore more intricate and complex forms to cast in glass. Emphasis will be placed on planning and intent as students create one or several pieces based on their ideas. Different molding materials, including plaster, silica and flexible mold materials such as rubbers and silicones. Molds of objects (found or fabricated) will be made for casting multiples in wax, which can also be utilized for fabrication and carving. Drawing will be a necessity as students investigate proportion and placement of form before it is cast in glass. Please bring your Respirator, wear closed-toed shoes and clothes that can get dirty. A water bottle is recommended.

This helps us guarantee stable wages for our hard-working artist instructors. If a cancellation occurs 10 days or more before the start of class, please submit a written request to as soon as you know of a possible conflict. Your account will be credited with the cost of the class. You can apply this credit to a future class, our online shop, or event. Please email to use the credit on your account. Monetary refunds are issued at the discretion of management. In the rare case that we are able to issue a refund, our processing platforms will keep a minimum of 10% non-refundable fees.
