Service Description

Kiln Casting teaches students to manipulate solid glass into almost any shape. Students will start with with wax, clay and plaster models, and focus on learning core skills of plaster-silica mold making and lost wax casting. Students will be introduced to cold working as well as kiln firing schedules and will gain a basic understanding how glass changes during the firing process.
