Service Description

This class is an in-depth study of the art of kiln-formed glass by cutting, layering and designing sheet glass in multiple forms to create functional or custom glass art objects. Projects in this class are designed to give students a well rounded understanding how to fuse different colors and shapes of into one piece of sheet glass and then how to slump that piece of glass into a mold to be reshaped. Students in the class will learn about the cutting tools, glass compatibility, ceramic slump molds and programming kilns. Students will be allowed to work independently in the warm studio once the class is complete.
