Guest Artist and Seattle glassblower
Ryan Staub

Guest Artist and Seattle glassblower Ryan Staub will be in the Bay Area to teach a special advanced goblets course the week of February 14th through 16th.

This weeknight workshop, for intermediate/advanced glassblowers, will guide students through the techniques of venetian-style goblet making.

The focus will be on the creation and assembly of more complex stemware. Blown feet and stems, avolios, mereses and various bitwork techniques will be demonstrated and learned, and students will learn to effectively employ the garage, fork, and chalk punty in the pursuit of ever- fancier cups.

This class will run for three evenings in a row, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 6:30 – 9:30 pm, for an immersive experience.
