Our History
Public Glass was formed to meet the needs of Bay Area artists working in hot glass, specifically glass blowing and casting. Conceived of and started by Bob Bellucci, Polly Bradbury and Bryan Bowers —and supported by dozens of friends and volunteers including the expert fabrication skills of Phil Burnham—Public Glass opened its doors in 1997.

Over the past few years we have seen Public Glass grow due to the generosity of the community, seen the visit of a number of notable artists and bought new furnaces. A quick review of some of the notable events and people from the past few years includes;
